Yoga has been a part of my life for more than thirty-five years. Through the years, have practiced a variety of traditions and styles including Hatha, Kundalini, Vinyasa, and Aerial yoga. My initial formal training was 200-hour certification at Columbia Yoga Center, MD. focused on postural alignment, sequencing, and precision, based on B.K.S. Iyengar's teachings. Advanced Teacher Training (RYT500) included a therapeutic approach at Body Balance Yoga in Annapolis, MD. I've also completed teacher training for VaihAyasa Aerial Yoga, Levels I and II.
I have continued study and practice in Levels 1-4 Advanced Pranayama with a senior Iyengar teacher, as well as continued studies and practice of Yoga Asana through workshops and classes offered through https://iynaus.org/. I am a 3rd level Sound Healing Practioner in Training with Atma Buti©Sound Medicine, acquiring hours and case studies towards certification in 2025.
Yoga has become a lifestyle beyond the physical benefits of the practice of asana, including mindfulness, compassion, and acceptance of self and others. In addition to my passion for yoga, I enjoy traveling, bicycling, and gardening, and I’m married with three adult children.
